Share Your Message With the World

Marketing is probably the most important part of blogging. People can’t buy from you if they don’t know about your blog in the first place. Plus, the more you market your best blog posts, the fewer blog posts you need to create. Fortunately, there are a ton of different ways to market your blog. I’ll go over some of them and tell you the pros and cons of each. Keep reading to learn more.

Marketing Strategy 1-Social Media

Social media is my favorite way to get my blog out in front of people fast (especially TikTok)! No matter what your niche is, you should be on social media. People love to buy from people, not brands, and social media allows you to get out there and share your story with the world. Plus, it’s free, and it can help you build brand awareness. I use social media to send people to my freebie and email list so I can send them my blog posts later.

How to Get Started With Social Media

I recommend choosing one or two platforms to start and focus on short videos to promote your blog. I love TikTok and Instagram. I use my weekly blog post and break it down into 5-10 blog scripts for 5-60-second videos. Then, I use those scripts as captions and use the keywords I found in the Google Keyword Planner in my captions and as hashtags to give my post more reach.

Marketing Strategy 2-Pinterest

Did you know that Pinterest is not a social media platform? It’s a search engine. It combines the power of a search engine with the power of visuals to entice your audience to engage with your content. If you do decide to do Pinterest, definitely check out Tailwinds, which has Tailwinds Communities that allow you to network with other pinners and get engagement on your post.

How to Get Started With Pinterest

Pinterest is pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. I recommend using Canva to create your pins because they have a ton of great templates to help you get started. Once you have your image for your pin, you’ll want to add a link to the blog post you are promoting and write a description for your post. Make sure you add keywords that your audience might be using to find your content to your description so Pinterest knows where to send them!

Marketing Strategy 3-Paid Ads

Should you be using paid ads? As your blog grows, it is worth considering, especially if you have a product or content that is selling better than others. Paid ads, whether in social media or in a search engine, drive traffic to your blog fast. When social engines and search engines see that your content is gaining traffic, they will be able to send more targeted traffic your way. (That means more people who want to buy!)
